JVLE aims to provide an academic platform for researchers, lecturers, vocational educators, industry practitioners, and policymakers to publish research findings, conceptual studies, and innovations in vocational education. Its areas of interest include curriculum, learning design, assessment, industry collaboration, work-based learning, competency certification, TVET policy, educator professional development, digital technology, artificial intelligence, future skills, entrepreneurship, green skills, inclusive vocational education, and workforce skills development.

JVLE welcomes original research articles, systematic literature reviews, and conceptual papers that align with the journal's focus and scope. The journal is published three times a year, in March, July, and November. JVLE charges an article processing charge (APC) of IDR 100,000 for each accepted manuscript, with no submission fee. The APC is payable only after a manuscript has been accepted.
